Jack Sheehan - MIACP & MBACP

Psychotherapist and Practice Manager

Hi, I’m Jack. I’m an experienced and professional Counsellor and Psychotherapist. I hold a first-class honours degree from Dublin Business School and full accreditation with the IACP & BACP.

Over the past number of years, I have worked as a Therapist both home and abroad, and have had the pleasure of supporting clients from all over the world both in person and through online therapy.

I bring a modern approach to therapy and understand that clients want to sit across from a real person with real life experiences. I’m an integrative therapist meaning I draw on different modalities including Person-centred, Psychodynamic, Existential, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), depending on the individual needs of the client.

There are no rules as to what you can bring to a therapy session but some common issues I work with include; anxiety & panic attacks, depression, grief & loss, sex & sexuality, chronic pain & illness, trauma & PTSD, self-esteem & confidence, relationship issues, OCD, addiction, sexual and physical abuse.

I believe that you are the expert of your own life and the solutions to your problems lie within yourself, but you may need the space to safely uncover issues that are difficult to confront alone. It is this space that I can provide for you.

If you attend my practice you are sure to find yourself in a warm and non-judgemental environment. Together we can work on increasing your awareness about yourself and your way of being in the world. You will be given all the emotional support you need, along with some practical tools that will help you to make positive changes in your life.

I am available for face-to-face appointments at our Belfast location, and provide online therapy for Ireland, UK, Europe & Australia.

Remember, reaching out for help is a sign of strength and courage. If you have made it this far you are already on the right path!

Depending on the reasons you have sought counselling, I will work with you to prioritise where the focus of the work will be.
