Louise Murphy
Counsellor & Psychotherapist
I’m a qualified integrative counsellor and psychotherapist offering a compassionate, client-centred space for healing and growth. Drawing from humanistic, psychodynamic, and CBT approaches, I tailor therapy to support people through life’s challenges in a way that feels attuned and empowering.
This might include encouraging self-expression, exploring how thoughts shape experience, offering psychoeducation, or gently examining the past to understand its influence on the present. Greater self-awareness and understanding can be the first step toward meaningful change and emotional wellbeing.
With a BSc from the University of Middlesex and an MSc from the University of Ulster, I work with adults navigating difficulties including (but not limited to) depression, low mood, stress, anxiety, relationship challenges, family estrangement, insecure attachment, grief, life transitions, and low self-esteem. My practice is grounded in empathy, curiosity, and deep respect for each person’s unique story.
Before qualifying as a counsellor, I spent ten years working in the charity sector, supporting people with their mental health and wellbeing in community settings. This included working with individuals experiencing loneliness and isolation, addiction, and health-related challenges.
Whether you're seeking clarity, connection, or resilience, I aim to walk alongside you with care and insight.
