Hello, my name is Catherine and thank you for taking the time to read my profile.  I am an integrative counsellor combining Person-centred Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to provide a tailored, individualistic plan for each client.  Key to my practice is providing a safe, non-judgemental and supportive environment for clients to explore and reflect upon their thoughts, feelings and challenges.

I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy which means I meet their professional standards, subscribe to their ethical framework, and engage in continuous professional development.  Beyond these core approaches I believe wholeheartedly that within all of us is the desire to be the best versions of ourselves that we can be.  Acknowledging there are difficulties takes courage but as a counsellor I work with my client to empower and support the change, growth and healing they are striving for.

I offer both short and longer-term therapy, depending on what each client feels they need to meet their therapeutic goals.  Therapy sessions can be in person, online or via telephone and usually last around 50 minutes.  Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you would like to chat about starting therapy or if you have any questions.
