Callum Kane
Art Psychotherapist
Hi, I’m Callum, a registered Art Psychotherapist with the HCPC.
I know that life can feel overwhelming at times, and taking the first step towards therapy can be daunting. If you’ve found yourself here, you’ve already taken a brave and important step, just by looking.
Sometimes, it’s hard to put into words how we feel. That’s where art psychotherapy can help.
What is art psychotherapy, and how can it support you?
Art psychotherapy is a form of psychotherapy that uses creative processes as a way to explore thoughts, feelings, and experiences. You don’t need to be “good” at art, and there’s no pressure to create something perfect or polished.
Art psychotherapy offers a gentle, non-verbal way to process emotions and can be especially helpful when words are hard to find. It’s suitable for people of all ages and abilities and offers a calm, supportive space to connect with yourself in a new way.
A little about me:
I hold a BSc in Psychology from Queen’s University Belfast and an MSc in Art Psychotherapy from Ulster University. I work in a way that’s person-centred and collaborative, meaning we co-create a space that feels safe, respectful, and right for you. We’ll go at your pace and focus on what feels important to you.
My experience includes working with people navigating grief, cancer, trauma, anxiety, low self-esteem, neurodiversity, and major life changes. I’m passionate about the power of creative expression as a way to support healing and self-discovery. If you're curious or want to find out more, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I’d be happy to have a chat about how I can help support you.
